Ask a Patient: Medicine Ratings

If you or a loved one are taking pharmaceuticals, you will find the Ask a Patient website interesting.  At the site is a drug search box where you  type in the name of a drug.

You will be presented with a menu listing various drugs associated with your search term.  On the right side of each name listed is a choice labeled  Satisfaction and under it is a link called “View ratings”.  Click on “View ratings”  to find many personal reactions to the drug.

What I find interesting is the range of opinions found.  It is obvious that different patients react very very differently to the same drug.

In addition, Ask a patient has a useful group of links at its’ “Research assistant” page.

Combine the information found on this site with the information found on a site like MedlinePlus Drug Information.

Another useful site is Drug Interactions Checker

These information databases can help you in your discussions with your healthcare provider .
